UNFPA Caribbean Dignity Kits Guidance Note
13 October 2023
Dignity Kits contribute to survival in the immediate aftermath of an emergency by delivering essential supplies, such as menstrual health products, condoms, underwear, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, relevant clothing items.
Access to such kits enable women to direct their limited resources to the purchase other critical items. They also contain items (e.g., radios, flashlights, buckets, bags) that can support safety and security, and lifesaving information about available services. Dignity Kits are not standard Hygiene Kits, and their programming and distribution should not be conducted in a standard manner, without following specific procedures outlined in this guidance note.
