FAO Regional conference Senior Officer Meeting (LARC38)

Monday 11 - 13 March, the Senior Officer Meeting of the 38 FAO Regional Conference for Latin America and the Caribbean (LARC38) opens at 10 AM (Guyana) 11 March, virtually from Guyana. The event, which brings together Delegates of the 33 member countries, aims to discuss the priorities that will guide the Organisation's work in the coming years to achieve better production, better nutrition, a better environment, and a better life, leaving no one behind. High-Level Dialogue for Latin America and the Caribbean on Financing for Gender Equality

Tuesday 12 March, UN Web TV will broadcast the High-Level Dialogue for Latin America and the Caribbean "Financing for Gender Equality: reducing inequalities and strengthening democracies" at 4:45 PM (New York). This is a side event of the 68th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW68) which takes place this year 11 - 22 March under the priority theme, “Accelerating the achievement of gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls by addressing poverty and strengthening institutions and financing with a gender perspective”. International Women's Day Events Continue with UN Women 

Last Friday 8 March, we observed International Women’s Day (IWD) under the theme ‘Invest in women: Accelerate progress’. Throughout the month of March, UN Women Multi-Country Office – Caribbean will continue to host and support IWD events across the region in Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, Jamaica, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Trinidad and Tobago.
